Uniform Policy

WHY UNIFORMS?DSC_0057

Research supports the idea of less social stereotyping when children are all dressed in like fashion. As a school, we believe uniforms benefit the child socially and academically. Uniforms promote a sense of community and school pride and keep the focus on academics and not attire. The High Point Academy dress code is established to instill discipline, prevent disruption, avoid safety hazards, and teach respect.

Administrators have the discretion to determine the appropriateness of attire and grooming and make special exceptions, including those for religious or medical necessities. If an administrator determines that a student’s attire is inappropriate or violates the dress code, the disciplinary action will be in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct. Appropriate discipline procedures will be followed in all cases.
