Congratulations to Cruz Perez-Lopez! The senior soccer player was awarded a $1000 college scholarship (The Spartanburg United College Scholarship) from The Greenville Triumph today, Wednesday, January 26, at High Point Academy.
Perez-Lopez plays on the HPA soccer team and with Spartanburg United Soccer Academy. Perez-Lopez is the first recipient of the annual scholarship, established in 2021. The scholarship can be used for the college, university, or technical college schooling of his choice. Perez-Lopez says he plans to go to college, but he hasn't yet made a decision as to where he will attend.
