Fundraising is an important part of the Parent Teacher Organization. The majority of the funds we raise, go right back to our teachers and our school. Some of the things we fund are teacher workroom supplies, teacher gifts throughout the year and during teacher appreciation week, and Goodies for Grandparents & Pastries for Parents. Last year, we, also, provided funds to buy items like software for a typing program, an additional scanner for the front office, and scholarships for teachers to attend special training sessions.
We typically host a pizza lunch on the 2nd Thursday of the month. Students will receive two slices of pizza (cheese or pepperoni) and a CapriSun or water for $5. Each month, students will need to complete this form and send in $5 to their homeroom by the Tuesday before pizza day at 9:00 A.M.
Pizza lunch dates for the 2017-2018 school year: Sept. 14, Oct. 12, Nov. 16, Dec. 14, Jan. 25, Feb. 15, Mar. 15, Apr. 19, and May 10.
The Kona Ice truck will come to the school during lunches to sell icees to students. The cost is $2, and students should bring money the day of the event. PTO receives 25% of the profits!
Kona Icee dates for the 2017-2018 school year: Sept. 19, Oct. 24, Nov. 28, Jan. 9, Feb. 27, Mar. 27, Apr. 24, and May 22.
There will be one Spirit Night per month, at Chick-fil-A or Papa John’s. Also, on some nights when there are school events, we will schedule a Burger King Spirit Night.
Chick-fil-A dates for the 2017-2018 school year: Sept. 18, Nov. 20, Jan. 22, Mar. 19, and May 21. Papa John’s dates for the school year: Oct. 18-19, Dec. 20-21, Feb. 21-22, and Apr. 18-19.
Other Fundraising Opportunities
At the beginning of the school year, we will send out Attraction Coupon Books through our students. The cost is $20 per book.
In the fall (Sept. 25-29) and spring (Feb. 19-23), PTO will host a school-wide book fair through Scholastic. All proceeds earned will go towards purchasing more books and supplies for the Media Center. In the 2016-2017 school year, we made over $10,000 during both book fairs for our Media Center.
December 4-8, PTO will host Santa Shoppe, in which our students can buy gifts for friends and family. Gifts range from $.25 and up, with most being around $5. Our young students love being able to pick out a special gift for their mom or dad or special someone!

Cut out Box Tops on products you buy and save them for our school. You can put these in the bucket labeled “Box Tops” at the front desk or wait for our bi-annual collection contest. The PTO earns $.10 for each Box Top!
Save you My Coke Rewards codes! You can find these inside the boxes or on the caps of any participating Coke product. You can go to www.coke.com/give and follow the instructions to donate points to High Point Academy, Spartanburg SC. We receive $.05 for each cap!
Grab a keychain tag for High Point Academy and scan it every time you shop at Publix. PTO receives 1.5% of participating purchases.
