Welcome to High Point Academy!
You have a choice.
Choose excellence.
Thank you for your interest in High Point Academy. You have a choice, and we are glad your search for excellence led you to us. We are a tuition-free, STEAM-focused, public charter school serving students in kindergarten through 12th grade who live in South Carolina. We are three schools on one campus, located off Interstate 26 in Spartanburg.

When you choose High Point Academy, you choose academics, athletics, fine arts, and a feeling of family.

Enrollment is a three phase process. First, you must complete an application. Second, a lottery will be held to determine which applications are accepted. More details on the lottery process can be found below.  Once you are accepted, the last step is to complete our online registration.
“It feels like home.” – Josh A., Graduate

Applications

All eligible K-12th grade students residing in South Carolina may apply to High Point Academy. Students will be admitted without regard to race, religion, gender, creed, national origin, disability, need for special education or itinerant services, or socioeconomic condition. New student applications may be completed online. Once submitted, the application will go to our registrar. If you list siblings on the application, please submit a separate application for each child you wish to enroll.

If you have questions about the lottery, enrollment, or current openings, please don't hesitate to call (864) 316-9788 or contact our registrar at registrar@hpaspart.org.

Why do parents love High Point Academy?

"My favorite part of the school is how they treat everybody like family and everybody is welcome here."

- Kimberly Dawkins, Parent

Once enrollment has been opened for the next school year, an Application link for the upcoming school year will be made available on this page (Enrollment Info). You will find any applicable dates/deadlines at the top of this pageAfter open enrollment ends, applicants may continue to join the waitlist in the order applications are received.  If the number of applicants received during open enrollment exceeds the capacity of a grade level, a randomized lottery will be used to determine enrollment and a waitlist for spillover applicants.  The HPA open lottery dates for the upcoming school year will be posted at the top of this page, once enrollment is opened.

HPA gives priority enrollment to students who are currently enrolled at HPA, siblings of currently enrolled students and children/legal dependents of HPA employees and Board members. If an applicant has previously withdrawn from HPA, the applicant will no longer be eligible for priority status. The applicant may reapply, but will not be granted priority status to allow other applicants equal opportunity to apply. If a student accumulates an excessive number of absences or tardies, the student may lose their seat and be asked not to reapply for the next school year. There is no appeal process when a student is denied admission because of lottery results.

Thank you for your interest in High Point Academy! We look forward to meeting you.
