At High Point Academy, we believe in parent choice when it comes to your child’s education. Located in Spartanburg, South Carolina, High Point Academy is a STEAM-focused, tuition-free, public charter school serving students throughout the Upstate. Established in 2014, we are Spartanburg County’s only charter school serving students in grades kindergarten through twelve. We have three schools on one campus. When you choose High Point Academy, you choose academics, athletics, fine arts, and a feeling of family.

CHARTER
A charter is a formal document that outlines an organization's purpose, mission, values, goals and structure. As part of our 10 years of service, our charter was updated in 2023 to reflect our growth and strategic plans.
The History of High Point Academy
On July 31, 2014 , High Point Academy, the first and largest K-12 Charter school in Spartanburg County was founded.
High Point Academy started out serving students in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade, but quickly expanded. Since 2015 we serve students in grades K-12th and currently boast an enrollment of around 1,200 students.
The 2023-2024 school year marked our ten year anniversary and the renewal of our school’s charter for another ten years of serving our community. We look forward to what comes next!
