Brian Sherman

Brian Sherman brings more than thirty years of dedicated service to public education, marked by a career that spans the classroom, athletic field, and district leadership. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University and a Master’s degree in Administration from Winthrop University, building a strong foundation for a lifelong commitment to student success. Throughout his career, Mr. Sherman has served as a teacher, football coach, assistant principal, principal, and ombudsman. Each role has strengthened his belief in the power of education to transform lives and has shaped his vision for schools that support the growth of every child. His leadership is rooted in collaboration, integrity, and a focus on providing equitable opportunities for all students. Since taking on the role of Superintendent, Mr. Sherman has prioritized academic achievement across the school. Under his leadership, there has been a renewed emphasis on strengthening instructional practices, supporting educators, and ensuring that every student has access to rigorous, high-quality learning opportunities. His focus remains on building a culture of excellence where students are prepared to thrive both in school and beyond.
