Lee Sartor
A dedicated and enthusiastic professional with more than Twenty years of experience coaching and building championship level basketball teams, Lee Sartor currently serves as the Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach and Career Specialist at High Point Academy. In his first season at High Point Academy, the team’s record was 17-10. They finished 2nd in the Region and lost in the 2nd round of the SCHSL Playoffs. Last season, the team improved to 28-4, won the Region Championship, the Upper State Championship, and lost by 6 points in the SCHSL State Final Game. Prior to High Point Academy, Coach Sartor was the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Erskine College and The Spartanburg Day School. He has been named Coach of the Year 7 times and coached 20 All State Players including Zion Williamson, one of the Nation’s top-rated high school players in 2018, former Duke Star, and now NBA All-Star Player for the New Orlean Pelicans. Developing players, running practice and games, and cultivating a winning atmosphere are his motivations each day. Coach Sartor is committed to promoting a team environment of respect, attentiveness, participation, and discipline while helping players learn valuable lessons and skills—personally, physically, and spiritually. Coach Sartor holds a master’s degree in human resources from Webster University and a BS Degree in Criminal Justice from USC Upstate. Coach Sartor and his wife of 33 years, Olivia (SMC, Limestone College), have a son, LA (Claflin University), a daughter, Fanchon (Wofford College), and a grandson, Zayn.
