Dr. Paulette Mizzell
Dr. Paulette Mizzell brings over 20 years of dedicated service in education to her role as Assistant Principal of the high school. Prior to stepping into school administration, she served in a wide range of instructional roles, including general education, special education resource, and self-contained classroom settings. Her leadership is informed by a strong foundation in both classroom experience and student support services. Before becoming Assistant Principal, Dr. Mizzell served as Director of Special Services, where she worked to ensure equitable access to resources and learning opportunities for all students. Her commitment to inclusive education continues to shape her approach to school leadership today. Dr. Mizzell holds a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of South Carolina, a Master of Arts in School Administration from Gardner-Webb University, and a Master of Education in Instructional Technology from American Intercontinental University, where she graduated with Cum Laude honors. She began her career after earning a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina in 2000. Outside of school, Dr. Mizzell enjoys spending time with her family, especially being adventurous on the water—whether it’s in the swamp, lake, or ocean—with her dad and two sons. Her love for the outdoors reflects her energetic spirit and commitment to living life fully both in and out of the school.
