The High Point Academy Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a non-profit volunteer-run group made up of parents and guardians. The goal is to enhance and support the educational experience at High Point Academy. We look to develop a closer connection between school and home by encouraging parent involvement and improving the environment at High Point Academy through volunteer and financial support. Our meetings, events, and programs are open to everyone in the HPA family. However, voting, committee chairs, and board positions are restricted to our members. Membership is renewed each year with a short form and is FREE. The PTO does accept donations.
As an organization, the PTO provides:
- Our teachers' financial and volunteer support – PTO is committed to loving and serving our teachers and staff. Examples of ongoing support include annual gifts to help teachers purchase classroom materials, a monthly coffee bar, organizing room moms and volunteers, hosting teacher appreciation events, and purchasing High Point Academy items.
- Student activities – The PTO runs several annual events, including the holiday shopping fair, book fairs, curriculum nights, and more.
How can you help?
There are many ways that you can support your child's educational experience through the PTO:
Become a member – Stay informed by your PTO leaders by submitting a membership form. Complete the form and email it to the PTO President. Membership is free! Once you become a member, you will receive regular email updates.
Volunteer – Whether you have a little time or a lot, there is a volunteer position for you!
