Middle School

Welcome to High Point Academy Middle School. Our academy is composed of sixth through eighth grades focused on core academic subjects, electives, athletics, and incredible fine arts programs. We provide equitable opportunities for students to obtain success by meeting the goals they set through positive support and connections throughout our school and community. 

The Grizzly family culture strives to spark creativity and inquisitive thinking through our rigorous curriculum and strong foundational academics. By building strong relationships with our students and families, we empower students with confidence and intellectual power to be caring and responsible lifelong learners. Our goal is to produce positive and productive citizens to enhance the world in which we live. Middle school is a wonderful and exciting adventure!

ACCESS Testing: January 22, 2024 - March 8, 2024

Mr. Tucker Hamrick started his career in education as a teacher in Spartanburg District 1, where he later served as a principal, assistant principal, and assistant director of operations. Hamrick is a graduate of Clemson University. He earned a degree in Science Teaching and played on the Clemson Tiger football team. His experience as a player later served him well as a varsity football assistant coach, JV baseball head coach, and varsity softball head coach. Originally from Shelby, North Carolina, Hamrick lives in Inman with his wife, Danielle, an assistant principal at Boiling Springs Elementary. They have three children, Payton, Abbey, and Luke.
