Rising senior Aubree Bishop represented High Point Academy as a delegate at the 77th annual session of the 2024 American Legion Auxiliary Palmetto Girls State last week! She learned about government, opportunity, and working with others. Aubree was elected into the House of Representatives and given the opportunity to pass or table mock bills by her delegate peers at the state house in Columbia. She ran for every position she could, from a city to state level, and presented a progressive bill that landed her the spot in the House of Representatives. Aubrey says, “This week was insightful, empowering, and life-changing. I can’t look at politics or government the same again.” We are so proud of you, Aubree!
