HPA Names New Middle School Vice Principal

Tammy Goodlett Vice Principal

SPARTANBURG, SC – High Point Academy (HPA) is pleased to announce the selection of veteran educator Tammy Goodlett as Middle School Vice Principal. A teacher, mentor, and leader, she brings more than a decade of experience to HPA as she teams with Principal Tucker Hamrick for the 2023-2024 school year.


Goodlett joins HPA from Greenville County Schools. She served as a special education teacher at Mauldin High School and Hughes Academy of Science and Technology, where she was named 2020 Teacher of the Year. Goodlett holds a Master of Education in Multi-Categorical Special Education and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix, where she also earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. "I am thrilled to be a cheerleader and mentor to students. I look forward to getting to know each one and empowering them to be their very best," says Goodlett.


Goodlett has four children, Brooke, Reed, Ben, and Mary. The Greenville native and her husband Toby love to spend time with their family, camping and eating out. She says, "We strive each day to serve, be good people, and enjoy life to the fullest."
